AI x iThesis Project: A New Assistant for Gen Z Graduate StudentsAdvancing Quality Education through AI Integration in Research🚀

On April 10, 2025, the Graduate School of Burapha University hosted the “AI x iThesis: A New Assistant for Gen Z Graduate Students” project, featuring Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witawat Jangiam, Dean of the Graduate School, as the keynote speaker. He was joined by Dr. Pongtorn Phengnoi and Mr. Suphak Nakthongkham, who provided insightful lectures and practical demonstrations throughout the event.

This project was designed to enhance graduate students’ digital competencies by equipping them with essential knowledge and skills to effectively utilize artificial intelligence (AI) features integrated within the iThesis platform. Participants explored AI applications in various stages of thesis development—such as generating research titles, drafting literature reviews, and assessing content completeness.

Additionally, the event introduced attendees to supporting tools like Paper Pilot and other AI-powered applications that assist students in planning, monitoring, and managing their thesis progress more efficiently and independently.

Importantly, this initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, by promoting inclusive and equitable access to advanced digital tools for higher education learners. The use of AI in academic research fosters innovation, supports lifelong learning, and helps reduce digital disparities among students across disciplines.

Through this project, the Graduate School reaffirmed its commitment to integrating modern technology in academic support services, empowering students with future-ready skills, and nurturing a generation of researchers equipped to thrive in the digital era.
